The power of graphical prints

Published on 10 August 2021

Graphical prints continue to be popular in the interior and by now are here to stay. Not surprising, since graphical shapes and patterns are extremely versatile. They fit into almost every interior and you can apply them in different ways. Large sized as a powerful statement or subtle as atmospheric addition. In black and white or in color. Whatever your taste or style, graphical prints can be used always and everywhere.

versatilely graphic

A graphical interior is an interior with a lot of lines and figures. In this regard you might be inclined to think about a tight and modern interior. Or about a Scandinavian interior style. But graphical patterns are also very well suitable for a retro, vintage, rural or industrial style. The tight shapes and lines create a certain degree of peace and oversight. By playing with different shapes, sizes and colors you can give it your completely own twist. Besides classical symmetric shapes in black and white, we also increasingly see asymmetric and abstract shapes in multiple colors for a playful effect. Also in business interiors graphical prints do well. They provide an elegant and stylish appearance and are often applied as an art object.

going big VERSUS subtly graphical

Do you want to impress with the graphical trend, then go big. Create a real eye catcher by covering an entire wall or big wall panels with a graphical print. Or opt for a floor with a graphical pattern. By working with strong contrast, you give additional power to a graphical print. But be cautious, don’t overdo it. By using to many different lines, figures and colors together, the balance is lost completely and you create an opposite effect. If you prefer subtly graphical, then think of a graphical print for on pillows, a piece of furniture accessory curtains or a rug. In regard to colors, instead of strong contrasts, you can think of softer tones like pastels or combinations with naturals.

Also go for graphical!

From floor to ceiling, wall to window and furniture to pillows, you can let graphical prints come back in your interior design in multiple ways and on different materials. From big and immersive to small and subtle, everything is possible. Curious of how to bring your graphical design to life and what interior materials are best to apply with them? We are happy to think along with you!
