Amtico Form: the natural charm of wood and stone

Biophilic design increasingly is an important guidance for the design of commercial interiors. This can be explained from our need for connection with nature and the positive impact it has on our well-being. That's why interior designers like to work with natural materials like wood and stone. At the same time commercial environments ask for wear resistant and maintenance-friendly surfaces, The renewed Amtico Form collection has been designed from this perspective and combines the look of real wood and stone with the practical characteristics of high-quality LVT.

Natural wood and stone

The natural charm and nature of real wood are authentically incorporated into 36 realistic wood and stone designs. By studying the smallest details of natural wood and stone, a collection has been designed which uses the interplay of colour, diffuse light and deeply tangible surface structures. Lauren Levy, Manager Design at Amtico: “Form is a collection in which honest and natural designs play a key role, with floors improving the atmosphere in organic interiors. With authentic colour schemes and tactile surface structures we assembled a collection bringing the feeling of outdoor life to the indoors."

Tangible surface structure

Form doesn't only have a strong resemblance to nature regarding t the design and colour, but also regarding texture. Three different kinds of embossing are used in the collection bring the design to life with a tangible surface texture. For the wooden designs for instance, the Natural Wood Grain Emboss and the Artisan Emboss have been used, twee techniques making the wood grains and details of deeply worn wood tangible. The six stone designs in the collection have a tangible 'Ceramic Emboss' surface structure, giving the tiles a look resembling refined ceramics.

War resistant and maintenance friendly

Form has top layer thickness of (PU), provided with the unique Quantum Guard Elite-coating. This wear and stain resistant finishing has a beautiful mat look giving it a realistic look. The planks and tiles are easy to instal, clean and maintain and therefor are a practical alternative to real wood and stone in demanding environments with a lot of walking traffic.

A sustainable choice

Also in regard to sustainability and a healthy inner climate Form meets high standards. The collection carries among other an Indoor Air Comfort Gold-certification, is produced with 23% of recycled content and solely contains phthalate free and biological weakeners. The collection is suitable for projects being built conform BREEAM or LEED.

Dimensions and laying patterns

Form is available in various plank dimensions and a standard rectangular tile size, also available in an acoustic variety (19 dB). There are also four ready-to-use laying patterns developed matching the look of real wood and stone. For the wooden designs these are the timeless Parquet and traditional Basket Weave and for the stone designs the modern Pavestone and more playful Hex-pattern.
