LEOXX looking for suitable acquisition candidate

After 36 years of entrepreneurship, Anja Nekeman, owner of LEOXX and Prints van Oranje, has decided at age 60 that she wants to transfer the shares to an external party. One of the main reasons is that there is no succession from within the family to ensure the continuity of LEOXX. As a result of this decision, Hans ter Hart, current Managing Director of LEOXX, has decided to leave LEOXX as of July 1 to make room for this new development.

BACKGROUND

In 2013, Leo Nekeman, founder and owner of LEOXX, passed away. His widow, Anja Nekeman-de Boer, decided to continue the company. First with Marc Treu as general manager, from November 2018 with Hans ter Hart. Anja: "The main reason for continuing the business was to give our three young children the opportunity to continue their father's life's work when they reached an adult age. That time has now arrived. In conversations I have had with the children about this recently, all three have indicated that their passions and ambitions lie elsewhere. That is why we are looking for a suitable candidate for LEOXX for a partial, or eventually a complete, takeover."

FUTURE-PROOF ORGANIZATION

With the departure of Hans ter Hart, all management tasks lie with Anja Nekeman, supported by Rolf van Woerkom, advisor for LEOXX for 5 years. Anja: "Even during our search for a suitable takeover candidate, our professional and committed team will continue to use all their knowledge and experience to bring interior design to a higher level with the right flooring products. I am confident that together we can continue to build a future-proof organization. In addition to our balanced product portfolio and our service orientation, we are strong online. In the coming years we want to focus even more on this: on further digital transition and online experience."
