Old Library Delft

After a long period of vacancy 'The Old Library' of the Technical University of Delft was reassigned to become an academy. The DOB-Academy is an institute with passion for the offshore power sector.

Throughout the entire building rugs are placed in different shades of blue; the observant viewer recognises the offshore maps of the Netherlands being created this way. In the course hall lies a custom-made printed rug with the map of the Rijnmond area. An acoustic backing provides pleasant acoustics in the rooms. The old library has been put back on the map with this renovation and kept as cultural heritage. The monument's commission is glad about the new destination for the building.
