TEN Good Food Café

TEN Good Food Café is the social hang-out of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. A trendy, but a living room you can visit all day. The temporary (5 year) interior design, made by Sandra Keja Planken – studio Noun, reflects a playful urban meeting space with colorful elements. In this artistic approachable vibe design classics are combined with unique custom made designs and products. Reuse of existing elements is alternated with a fresh new design.

Artistic furniture fabric

The upholstering of the couches is a big wink to the period of ‘De Stijl’ and titled ‘Off the Road’. A title in which everyone can have his or her imagination run wild with regard to where the road is going to. The print is a pattern design of Sandra Keja Planken – Studio Noun.

Hand painted carpet prints

All rugs, also designed by Sandra and used in this project, are custom made prints of hand-paintings. The rugs are designed with rough paint brushes, like you are walking on top of a painting. For all carpet, made in unique amorphous shapes, primary colors are used. This has resulted in colorful islands and cozy corners in which the public can retreat, from museum visitor to urban lounger. Sandra: “The vivid corners are a mix of styles and products from our collection, Dutch designers and vintage classics. Every corner has a different look and is made to inspire and make you feel alive.”
