Metro City Kitchen

As of April 2018, Utrecht was enriched with a new culinary hotspot with the arrival of Metro City Kitchen, located at the Jaarbeursplein. For this stylish restaurant, a breath-taking custom print carpet has been realized, used to give a contemporary look to the interior. For this special location there has been chosen for a look that secures freedom and which gives everyone a welcome feeling. 

TWO CONCEPTS

Looking for an extensive fine-dining experience with 4, 5 or 6 courses? In that case you are guided to Uptown Dining on the first floor. Are cocktails and burgers more your pace, than you will end up at the terrace of Downtown Deli on the ground floor. With these two concepts, Metro City Kitchen wants to create ‘moments’ providing them to serve multiple target audiences. 

No lack of space either: the trendy restaurant area offers place for no less than 550 guests and 170 more on the outdoor terrace. Imposing numbers, completely in line with the growth the city is experiencing because the center of Utrecht is vastly expanding on the side of the Jaarbeurs.

Metro City Kitchen wanted to create something to suit all tastes and have that same idea come back in the interior. On behalf of Ronald van Rooij from Ronald van Rooij – Meubel en Interieur, LEOXX has with its custom printing label Prints van Oranje realized a tailor-made print solution on carpet. The print carpet had to create a luxury feeling without the static aspects of the many old monumental buildings located in the inner city. In other words, an interior where everyone feels welcome.

SPECIAL EYE CATCHER

The well-informed choice for the design was quickly made for symbolic peacock feathers, providing an intensive color perception. The colorful branches of the custom print carpet are that detailed and intense that it feels like the carpet, and with it the room, is alive. The special eye catchers on the print carpet seem to constantly keep an eye on you.
