The new main office of the child care organization 2Samen at The Hague is designed as clubhouse where every employee feels at home. The playful and creative design, in which the identity of the organization is clearly resembled, facilitates meeting and collaboration and supports different working styles.

DNA of the ORGANIzation

At the base of the design are the core values of the organization: Together, Growth and At home. The DNA of the organization is translated to various areas of work, in which the employees feel at home. In the various spaces the world of children is translated to the world of adults. The result is an environment in which creativity is reflected in the spaces with themes calling upon the imagination like the Nature garden, the Cabin, the Play garden and the Block tower.

Different areas of work

Magda Pietranek, interior architect at Rever Interieurarchitecten, has chosen to create different areas of work that match the world of children in terms of perception on the floor where 2Samen is located, like Outside Together, Learning Together and Exploring Together. Every area of work has a different function with its own identity: training, meet-up, conference and work/quiet places. The areas of work can be distinguished from each other through their own color. The chosen colors contribute to the concept and the function of the space. The floor of the conference rooms for example is orange. This color is energetic and contributes to the stimulation of communication. The Sand 1 carpet tile from the FleXX^eco- carpet tile collection of LEOXX has bright colors and a diverse color palette, making the tile perfectly in line with the design the architect had in mind.

CIRCULAR CONCEPT

Beside the feeling of home, sustainability also plays an important role in the interior design. There have been applied a lot of circular products for instance and a bug part of the old furniture has been reused. On top of that there has been made use of refurnished furniture. The Sand 1 carpet tile also matches nicely with this idea of circularity. This tile is made from sustainable Econyl yarn, a 100% recycled and recyclable fiber of waste material like old textile and carpet residues and discarded fish nets.
