Elho Tilburg

Elho is a green family company with over 50 years of experience in the development and production of sustainable plastic design pots for flowers and plants. For a big renovation of the office and warehouse, architecture firm Space Encounters in collaboration with Binnenvorm developed a biophilic office design concept with a few big indoor gardens. The result is a green and inspiring work environment, propagating the mission 'Give Room to Nature' of the sustainably entrepreneurial company.

INSPIRing indoor gardens

In the ‘green’ office building in Tilburg five indoor gardens have been created. The biggest is the office room for the employees with work spots on a desk turned into a garden of 30 meters long. With a big diversity of tropical plants in different colours, textures and heights, this workplace serves as a creative centre where new ideas and innovations come to life. The core of the company is formed by the atrium serving as a circular chain between the different floors. The remaining indoor gardens are made in the two conference rooms and the conference hall.

HARMONIous seamless foundation

As floor a seamlessly casted floor in a natural colour from the wear resistant Rough series was chosen. The soft, light tint creates a harmonious whole and forms together with the green a connecting factor between the different rooms and floors. An ideal foundation for a natural and calming interior in which all the green has found its place. A beautiful example of biophilic design!
