IS Online

IS Online, an IT-company in Purmerend, wanted to create an open and calm atmosphere in its newly build location. This translated into a basic design: no lowered ceilings and as many open spaces as possible. Where rooms needed to be functionally divided, as much glass as possible was used, giving the spaces as much openness as possible. 

The photographed rooms are the central core of the building and the board floor. The number of used colours in the floor of the board floor are symbolical for the many facets of entrepreneurship.

Besides the colourfulness in the central core of the building, a high wear resistance and ease of maintenance were important aspects in the floor choice. Rubber, with its brightness, extensive colour options and technical characteristics, turned out to be a well match with the philosophy of the architects: creating long term well-balanced interiors being easy in maintenance.
