Law firm Lee & Thompson had its main office transformed from a standard, outdated space into a practical and inspiring commercial environment. The result is a contemporary workspace with a high-end twist and a ‘members only club’ kind of feeling, with as finishing touch the premium LVT flooring from the Amtico Signature collection.

GROUNDBREAKING WORK

For the new work environment, Lee & Thompson was looking to push the traditional boundaries within which the work was beind done. The interior designers of Thirdway translated this way of thinking into a fitting design. Before, the legal teams were scattered over multiple floors, but these have been returned to one floor to create a more collaborative a creative workstyle. With many customers in media and sports, being used to the exclusivity of the London member clubs, a similar ‘members only club’ kind of feeling has been reflected in the interior design. The two remarkable flooring design from the Signature Designers’ Choice collection of Amtico play an important role in this regard and at the same time help to distinguish the different functional areas.

DISTINCTIVE LAYING PATTERNS

For the restaurant area with kitchen and breakout space, which also offers space for events, a Key Stone Mini laying pattern has been chosen. This pattern reminds of a classic tiled floor inspired by the Victorian style. Around the reception desk and in the conference spaces, the French Weave laying pattern has been applied, a woven flooring pattern exuding craftsmanship and elegance. The contrasting designs made it possible to create zones within the office, while keeping the British style and refined finishing that form an integral part of the total design.
