Parteon

Parteon is a housing corporation dedicated to sufficient, good quality, affordable and sustainable housing in the Zaan region. The organization itself is located in a monumental factory building. For the restyling of its conference rooms, Parteon had made a series of costum-made carpets, corresponding to the cultural-historical value of the building.

MONUMENTAL CHOCOLAtE FActory

Parteon is located in the former Pette-Boon factory, an over 100 years old chocolate factory in the Zaan region. Late last century, the monumental building was saved from being torn down. In 2001 it was declared a national monument. After a large-scale renovation, the remarkable property was transformed into a mondern workspace. The interior is light and open; thanks to the many windows a lot of natural light enters the building.

Old TImes reLiVE

For the restyling of the conference rooms there has been searched for an element that brings back the old days. For this reason Parteon had designed a series of carpets with flower patterns from the Hindelooper art of painting. As a base for the designs, old images with this typical Frisian painting style have been used. These have been converted to a personalized design and precisely colored to measure. Colors like characteristically Zaan green and the traditional red and blue from the Hindelooper painting style create an authentic look. The result is a number of unique floor rugs matching the sensation of the old monumental building and its history beautifully.
