BACK TO THE OVERVIEW

Pharos

The office building of Pharos in Hoofddorp is an impressive place in multiple regards. The 19-floor counting building, housing several companies, overviews the surrounding buildings with its tall construction. The ambitions for the decor of the multi-company building are, if possible, even higher. Commissioned by Cairn Real Estate a progressive concept regarding healthy and sustainable working has been developed, in which the community and shared facilities have a central role.

Healthiest WoRKing-COMMUNITY

According to the concept of consultancy agency De Nieuwe Draai, Phatos must become the healthiest working-community of Europe. The concept, with the circular economy as core factor, is based on four foundations: maximum health, total energy, zero waste and vibrant community. Interior designer Sheryl Leysner created a detailed interior design of the rooms with the shared facilities, on the ground floor and the top floor, using these four foundations. The result is a balanced and harmonious interior adding to the well-being and health of users in all aspects. Except for the reuse and circularity, we also see the choice for as much as possible natural materials. As well as the choice for non-toxic and biodegradable glues, varnishes and paints. "Else the application of natural materials has no use", Leysner clarifies. Furthermore, a lot of green has been used. "Plants give energy and purify the air."

The lighthouse

In the top of the tower 'The Lighthouse' is found, as the top floor with panoramic view is also called. In 'The Lighthouse' several rooms are located, accessible for all tenants in the building, like a lounge bar and the luxury boardroom. The lounge bar welcomes the tenants with a warm and pleasant interior, in which green, brown and golden brown dominate. On the floor lies amongst others a dark-coloured bamboo and a richly executed ochre yellow Saxony carpet from the COLOR BOOKS-collection of LEOXX: the Silky Brush. The beautiful wing and long pile add to a maximum feeling of comfort. hospitality and luxury, matching the business-like look of the building. The carpet is continued into the luxury boardroom and comes also back in the atrium on the lower floor shaped as a rug. The environmental qualities of the Silky Blush also match the concept of Pharos. The carpet is free of formaldehyde, climate neutrally produced and GuT-certified; and thereby suited for projects built conform thestandards of BREEAM or LEED.
