The new HQ of Securitas in Breukelen is a future proof and hypermodern workplace where safety, hospitality and connection are central. The BREEAM certified building brings together different departments with an open and transparent interior that stimulates collaborating and meeting.

SUSTAINABLE AND HYPERMODERN WORKPLACE

The brand new building, after a design by Architectenbureau Rutten van der Weijden, was built according to the Very Good (3 stars) criteria of the sustainability hallmark BREEAM. With the newest techniques in amongst others the field of light, space, acoustics, climate and air treatment, a pleasant and hypermodern workspace has been created. Both during construction and with the design sustainable and circular solutions were applied. For example, the roof contains 150 solar panels and there has been a lot of attention for the indoor climate, the ventilation and the lighting. In the entire building, green has been applied. The entrance roof consist of a ‘green roof’. On warm days this limits the temperature in the entrance area.

CONNEXION AND MEETING

The new HQ is a place that stimulates connection and meeting. In the building there is sufficient space for various types of workspaces, conference rooms and spots to work together. The interior, designed by Bleeker Concepts, breathes Scandinavian style. Bart Schmeink, general manager of Securitas Netherlands: “Connecting and meeting have a big role in the new HQ. Especially in a new office it’s important for all colleagues of the different departments to be able to easily work together and drive each other to new, professional initiatives.”

WARM AND INVITING FLOORS

The various collaboration and meeting space are decorated with soft and comfortable rugs. The project suitable rugs are executed in the Saxony quality Silky Blush. With their luxurious and warm appearance they contribute to an open and inviting atmosphere of connection and meeting. Furthermore, printing carpet with a personalized design has been applied, made by our custom printing label Prints van Oranje. The carpet with nature print has been made to size in a special half-round rug size and corresponds perfectly to the design on the wall. Finally, for the offices and conference rooms there has been chosen for the Taurus Kontur, a tight and modern Wilton weave quality. This very strong and compact carpet in a subtle and natural tone blends beautifully with the rest of the interior.
