Sencha

Sencha found this canal building at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam to be a fitting option for a temporary location in the Netherlands. With their main office being in San Francisco, it was important to make a connection in the interior design between their American 'home' and the Dutch Amsterdam.

The designers made this connection by using photo materials of both city and by playing with colour in the interior design. The red of the sofas resembles the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, The fresh green of the crosses on the floor and of the Plastic Side Chair DSR chairs of Vita refer to the green in and around the Amsterdam canals. And they are also a wink of course to the weapon of the city of Amsterdam.

The pattern of the Cross-stitch navigates itself in between the furniture and resembles the bridge between San Francisco and Amsterdam.
