place for sharing knowledge and meetings

The new office of TNO was a true (r)evolution for the organisation. The surface was reduced from 24.000 to 9.500 m². This requires a new way of working, which was exactly what was intended. The new working is focussed on working together and sharing knowledge. Meaning many open workplaces, with some closed units for meetings in between. LEOXX provided loose rugs for the meeting places and fixed carpet in a few closed off workspaces. Carpet improves a salvaged atmosphere. It marks a clear area and moreover benefits the acoustics.

Oriëntation with colours and line play

The corporate identity of TNO is translated to the interior. The graphical design has been applied on the glass division walls using a window foil, for privacy and colour indication. The printing carpet Explain with the enlarged Cross-stitch print fits the line play on the window foils well. Also regarding colour, so the wide range of available colours was a big aid to create the colour indication for each department. This way the soft carpets are like a big family, but with each their own colour accents to indicate where you are.
