BACK TO THE OVERVIEW

Welten / Dukers & Baelemans

With the move to a central location on the eight floor of the RIcoh-building in 's-Hertogenbosch, Welten & Baelemans considered it time to take a new approach towards their office environment. In the new main office of the two cooperating organisations it's all about a interflow of process and training. Two work styles with overlap, but also requiring a slightly different approach on some regards.

A place that works

For the design of the new office, developed and realised by Swink Design, the needs of the organisation and their employees were the starting point. Innovation, a familiar feeling, inspiration, collaboration and movements were central factors. The result is a flexible office environment directed to several preferences, ways of working and interaction. Noticeable is the homy atmosphere making every employee feel at home. In the premise there can be found a mixture of different seats and work spots; from focus spaces, cosy poufs and informal meeting places to an open bar element with integrated grandstand seats. This way there is a place that works for everyone.

BIOPHILIC DESIGN

In the interior design, principles of biophilic design have been used. Natural elements like sufficient daylight, many wooden structures and the use of green can be found back everywhere. For example, a floor has been chosen with a vivid wooden design with authentic nerves in a neutral oak colour, matching the oak decor of the desks and the custom made interior in a beautiful way. Combined with the mixed design of the Mistral carpet tiles from the FleXXeco collection, made of sustainable Econyl yarn, a warm whole is created with a comfortable balance between the different rooms and (work) spots.
