Central Post Rotterdam

Central Post is one of the most famous office buildings of Rotterdam, located in the Central Business District across the central station. The former station post office was in 2009 renovated into a modern business complex. One of the particularities is the entresol flooring being able to connect offices spaces both vertically and horizontally with each other. One of the residents is the municipality of Rotterdam, who recently opened its new public location in the monumental building.

WARM AND ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC LOCATION

The new public location of the municipality of Rotterdam has found a beautiful and easy to access space in Central Post. The counters and consultation workspaces have been designed according to the guidelines of the municipality, with an as sustainable as possible implementation. Despite the void acoustics, the space feels very pleasant, partly due to the choice for the floor finishing of woven vinyl. The interior contains a lot of wooden details, creating a warm and accessible feeling.

ORGANIC FLOOR PATTERN

For the floor, the choice was made for a woven vinyl floor from the collection of ntgrate, known for its high effort in the field of sustainability, acoustics and design. buroDesk, responsible for the interior design, selected to pattern Shy for its natural, irregular appearance. The organic pattern, with light color nuances flowing into each other naturally, fits beautifully within the concept and blends effortlessly with the whole design.
