Clan de Banlieue

The first flagship store of the Dutch streetwear label Clan de Banlieue is located in Rotterdam. Meanwhile the brand has also opened a second location in Amsterdam. For the design of the new store, Clan de Banlieue turned to interior designer Lotte Faassen (Lotte Faassen x Studio de Blieck). She was given carte blanche for the entire design. This has resulted into an innovative concept for the luxury retail industry: urban with a golden edge.

luxury PRINT fabric and carpet

The store in Rotterdam consists of two floors. The total surface of the store covers an area of around 400 square metres. Every detail has been thought of. Whether it’s about the dressing rooms, the counter, the light, clothing racks or the general branding. Through its custom design label Prints van Oranje, LEOXX has realised the print carpet on the stairs and the print fabrics on the poufs. The design used for them perfectly match the style of Clan de Banlieue: young urban with a luxury touch. Lotte: “The goal in the design of the carpet and the furniture fabric was to create recognisability. To be recognisable in the store for the customers, I have incorporated the logo of Clan de Banlieue in a busy print. I chose dark colours combined with brass. This to create a luxury look, matching the experience of the brand.”
